Immigrants Protest Through the Major Cities in the US
Okay guys I don't know about you I totally disagree with the protest that the immigrants was putting on May 1, 2006. What sickens me the most, is the the fact that they are trying to compare it to Civil Rights Movement done by Martin Luther King back in the 1960s. I have to say that is not the same at all. At the time, our country was faced with extreme amounts of slavery, and the predominately blacks were riducled and abused.
I probably would have not cared as much about the protest, but when I received a ticket during this protest it totally turned me against any movements for them for immigrants jumping across the border or entering the US illegally. I also have real good hispanic friends. Even those with parents that call "me hall" (not sure of the spelling currently). The reason I make the the previous statement is that I am not against the hispanic culture at all. I just feel that there are some that deserve better and they are the ones working for it, and not these ones that want everything to come their way.
Furthermore, I was on my way to Finance Class tonight at San Jose State University, and when I came across an officer to ask him what was going on, he told me to pull aside so he can cite me as he was citing others. Tell me that was not wrong. This is supposed to be the city finest. Total BS, I am so pissed I can write a letter to the Mayor of San Jose, and tell him I pay taxes and I am a working citizen and also up and coming citizen with me currently going to school to advance my traits. Therefore, I can have alot more to contribute to our society and community in a positive way.
I tell you one thing, I cannot wait to see that damn idiotic cop Officer Sanchez in court. I think he got his nerves to cite me on my own street where I travel regularly to and from school. Not only did he cite me for passing some lame ass cones, in addition there was a bus going through the same street. For me in my vehicle, I am totally looking up the street following through traffic, come on now, what would have anyone else done in this situation. For me to ask the officer what was going on at the time, shows that I was clueless or oblivious to what was going at the time. Especially I saw cars running into each other with all the commotion and chaos that was going on at the time. What was a man supposed to think? I had no clue that this was protest until I skipped class and went to the library to focus on other courses. I was able to stream our local new channel KRON 4 News in San Jose, CA through a network provided to students and patrons of the Dr. Martin Luther King Library. What a coincidence that the library is named after Dr. Martin Luther King!
How would you respond if you were me? Would you battle this officer in court?
Let me know what you think!
Al
