What most men look forward to during football off-season, It's a time for those that are true sports fanatics to experience football as they were on the field. Depending on how your player performs on a given week will help to determine your Sunday Evening Mood at the dinner table. Well, maybe not all man, but at least for me.

Well, this year I am really looking forward to the league as most of my buddies doubt that my team will be any good. I think that My Team Name Speaks for itself with it being called REDEEMERS. I got LT who is out to redeem himself. I also have TO who I believe will do wonders in Cincy. Not to only speak of that, I have Peyton Manning who has been consistent for years now. I don't see that changing with the arsenal of receivers he currently has.

Well... all this anticipation and speculation will come to end starting tomorrow - September 12th, 2010. The beginning of NFL Football in the US for 2010.

GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Random Thoughts About Job Market

All may wonder what's going on with Alphonse E. Onyeagwa Jr. Well, he is here still kicking and alive. Thank God! I am just trying to get my foot into doors of the right company with the perfect opportunity. I am thankful I am working, but I am hungry for something much better. I need that job that is going to be satisfying to everything that I have worked and the foundation I have set for myself, my daughter, and the rest of my family. It needs to be fulfilling!

Speaking on today, September 11, 2010, currently, in my field of work there is fierce competition taking place, and I am trying to figure out ways around it. I am being compared to those professionals that have a more seasoned career such as 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst/Project Manager. I know that passion lies with Project Management because of the leadership capability I have in the work atmosphere/environment. Communication skills is superb from a written and verbal perspective. With resumes sitting on hiring managers through a wonderful network of family/friends. I am not sure where I would land next, but I know God knows. Without God, all things are not possible. That I have learned through the terrible storm that I faced in the last couple of years.

I sit and await when my phone will start ringing again like it did prior to the US Labor Day Holiday Weekend. What could possibly happen this quarter? I know that its going to be good, but its all in due time. I am trying to be patient as possible. Keep your boy in prayers.

Stay tuned..............
Highest Regards,

"Anniversary of A Sour Day/Memory in 2008"

Today marks an awful day in my life last year(December 16, 2008). On this day I was called into a conference room by my current manager and representative from HR informing me that they no longer needed my services at medium size Semiconductor Company. I was shocked after all I have done for the department and the organization to steer them in the right path of Project Management. This was a result of 70% workforce reduction. I have learned through this experience that things happen for a reason. I found myself struggling financially because of this experience. I am still struggling to locate an employer that will allow me begin utilizing the great attributes that I have built up from my education. I am still trying to keep things together with my family, and the assets that I had the time. Without the beautiful lady(inside and out) on my side these days I am not sure how I would be able to deal with the storm that I have been facing. Most importantly, Jehovah Jiren has been there for me through all of this mishaps.

What I have learned through this horrible experience. that the fight will never stop in me until I reach the peak of success. Currently, I am working in a survival role where I am involved in reacting to SAAS failures such as transactions for consumers trying to purchase items online. Sometimes monitoring the applications as it may be going through mainteanance. I am thankful for the opportunity as it allows me to look at Information Technology at a broader level. I also believe that it aligns me for my target Job Opportunities with my target employer. Without me networking with friends and family, I would never come upon this opportunity. As I am writting this blog, I need to get ready for work, but I knew since this memory is fresh in my mind; I had to write this blog.

The morale here is that things happen that we cannot control, but it's how we handle/face adversity.

Enjoy-

Life & It's Amazing Turns

Life has some amazing turns, and we all face them. It's up to us on what path we want to take to get each of us where we want to be. As for me, I have made some poor decisons in the past 2 years that has taken a serious toll on me. There are some things happening to me right now that I would not have ever had the slightest clue that it would happen. I am scared and frighten with the events, but I know in my heart that God will see me through. This all reminds me of my days at church when God was speaking to me, and I was not listening or delibrately ignoring him; he said if you do not stop doing what you are doing that you will lose your job. Sure enough I did, a nice professional job right out of college. Got called into a meeting to be laid off. The only thing I hold onto now is my immediate family with my lovely daughter who gives me the continued strenght to get back right where I was before, and even better. The Love of My Life has supported me through this mishap. There is no other comparision for the love that my lady gives and I share with her. Only us can comprehend our love for each other. I will share more about her throughout the upcoming days. Let's just say that I see life differently because of her.

Things are happening again in the job market, and I am so glad that Obama has signed a new economic bill, and that should bring things back in order for Americas.

All I can say right now, FY11 is the holdup as companies are budgeting for the fiscal year. Glad to receive this news from one of my favorite Directors at a top firm I want to work for.

Stay tuned....

Look out for more blogs from Alphonse Onyeagwa Jr. as he will be doing this to begin practicing his communication and his preparation to enter the Master's Program at University of San Francisco.

Okay, I just thought of this subject today.
I thought I do this and see what Tom of Myspace may think of it. Perhaps, maybe Tom could think of partnering with Facebook before someone like Google buys them out.
Well I have been using both social networking sites MySpace and Facebook for a while now, and I seem to find that each of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. They both seem to have their own preference in what educational level of friends we are trying to connect with. As for the disadvantages, there is certain age groups that you will find on either one.
Here is my observation:
I notice that MySpace helps me to connect with most of my high school friends while Facebook on the other hand helps me to connect with my colleagues and friends that I meet while I am out networking currently.
It's amazing how social networking has become so popular these days, I have to say for those that are not either site are behind on the latest and the greatest of how to connect/communicate with their friends.
Anyhow, this is my thought..... I am sure there is many other topics surrounding this subject so feel free to compare with others.

HOW IMPORTANT IS COMMUNICATION TO THE BUSINESS WORLD AND OUR PERSONAL LIVES?

It has been a long time since I posted on my personal blog. I like to take this opportunity to share the importance of communication in each of our lives.

First off, for those of us that regularly communicate to spouses, our children, parents, siblings, friends, and co-workers on a daily basis; communication is essential because of the following reasons:

  • Gettting the message across to have a significant impact by having the person agreeing with you or sharing their viewpoints.
  • Helps in terms of planning out activties, whether it be a day at the park with the family, dinner with friends, co-workers or family members.
  • Business world fashion, getting the right requirements for a project, and making sure that all stakeholders are under a common understanding.
  • Scheduling, knowing the other person schedule therefore you can be courteous of their time.

  • Avoiding taking the other person for granted.

  • Reaching the ultimate goal.

Well, this all that comes to my mind for now. I thought this is a life lesson that I have learned in the past, and would like to share with all that are interested.

Please feel free to share your viewpoints as well.

IS HE WORTHY OR NOBEL TO PARTICIPATE IN INFLUENCING OUR YOUTH

What has this world turn to and what is TO thinking ?

How many people do you think would buy the book for their children?

Reasons I would not buy this book :

Attitude with my Niners

Trade Conflict from Ravens to Eagles

Gets to Eagles team organization and turns the team into Turmoil after a couple of years with organization.

Last , but not least, about the Desperate Housewives scene last year on Monday Night Football.

I like TO as a football player, but not someone I want my child to emulate or follow as a role model. Therefore, I would not buy this book for a child of mine or any children I know.

What is your take?!

What's up Everyone!

Its been a while since I last posted on my personal blog.
Been more active on my group blog with buddies.

Well I am coming up on last week of summer school, and I am really feeling the pressure again. Got a big presentation on Climate Change and Impact on Coastal Regions in 37 hrs. Topic I rarely think of, but you do thing about it makes you wonder. Not sure how I am going to start or what I want to present. Getting my pieces together tonight.

They say that procastination is human's biggest drawback. Its very true. For instance, I work in a Payroll Industry, and people don't usually call for support until Friday to act as if they have been working on week. They call for assistance to figure out information that should have been figured out a long time ago. Quarter totals, weekly totals, you name you will it. Get my point, so go figure.

I have to say that we all procastinate, and I belive that instructors know it too, they always seem to push out the dates for due assignments.

Oh well , enough of bickering, now its time to get to work.

Stay tuned to see what I receive on the assignment.
